Hope MMIX is treating you well. I'll be heading back to northern Thailand for a short vacation (only two weeks) and friend of mine since college is coming with.
We're thinking of staying in Chiang Rai a few days and maybe going on a short trek or rafting trip.
Does your brother-in-law have any information I could look up on the web on his resort?
Thanks & have a super week!
Joe
Every good wish,
Sandra

Hope you're doing well & have a super weekend, Joe
The situation in Thailand is deteriorating, but I'll still be going - I'm committed there. I don't expect to be in places (or put myself in places) with potential trouble.
Cheers, Joe
Are you still traveling to CA often for work? I'll have to get some information on your brother-in-laws resort in the next month or two before my vacation.
Have a good week!
Joe
always,
rasaB :)
It can't keep secrets,
likes to speak its mind,
always lets you know what's happening
in its rooted brakes and colonies,
takes its topics from black topsoil and river muck
bringing the underground to light;
and because it lingers for years between flowerings,
it scrapes one stalk against another
like cricket legs or rhythm sticks
to pass the time with music—
that is,
when it isn't busy jiving with wind
or chatting with a little bird
or talking shop with clumpgrass
or whispering to itself
or buttonholing strollers, insisting:
Cut me down,
make me into a flute.
Bamboo talks.
Sometimes it sings.
All you need to do is listen.
